*Laughs Hard*

How nice that someone wrote a book to go along with the movie, eh?

  Blogger Archie Furrows hath spake:

Oh, that's funny!

I shouldn't laugh. If it gets people reading the original, we shouldn't knock it!

Actually, I haven't read it myself.

Ooh, shiny new picture. Is it meant to be of anything in particular or is it just pretty? I like, anyway.

  Blogger H hath spake:

My name is Ozymandios.....

  Blogger skittledog hath spake:

Ahh.

Hmm.

So are we meant to despair?

Don't tell me I'm not mighty.

  Blogger Narrisch hath spake:

*laugh* I suspect that a theme of 'despair' wouldn't be a very good method of inducing people to come read your blog.

And thanks, Skit. I came across the picture at the British Library and basically just thought it was cool.

Buuut it also reminds me of all the things I *want* to do and *should* be doing: go to grad school, study history, travel more, learn to read cuneiform. (Well, maybe not the last one...)

  Blogger H hath spake:

I was thinking more of the ruins of civilizations that were mighty in their day. And it is a wonderful cloudy sky. *Thinkls of the Louvre and all the reminants of civilizations passed there*

  Blogger Narrisch hath spake:

*hums*

Skittledog the Mighty,
She's rather tidy,
Everyone admires her
Because she's got a Swizzlestick.
O, Skittledog!
Skittledog The Mighty.

  Blogger Narrisch hath spake:

(to the tune of this, naturally)

  Blogger skittledog hath spake:

...okay. Random. Hee.

How does narrisch know I have a swizzlestick?

I like the way that clouds apparently made Heather think of the Louvre. That fits my memories pretty well...*throws frozen timtams across boat*

  Blogger Narrisch hath spake:

I'm fairly sure there is archival evidence of Skits and Jes with the swizzlesticks somewhere...

I suspect the Louvre connection has more to do with the fact that I dragged poor Dr. L thru the entire Near Eastern Antiquities department whilst there.

  Blogger skittledog hath spake:

Ah, those swizzlesticks.

Who would have thought swizzlesticks could connect me to more than one memory?

Maybe I need a new life...
